Music Department Gives Final Concert of the Year

For Sabbath evening vespers, the academy music department under the direction of Pedro Arce put on a musical program in the auditorium. Pedro Arce had opening prayer.

  • The choir sang two songs. “At the Table” with a flute solo by Ginny Arce and “I Have Fixed My Mind on Another Time”.
  • The orchestra played “I Cannot Tell” (trumpet solo by Benny, a 2018 9th grader) and “It Is Well with my Soul”
  • Jara (2018 sophomore) played as harp solo, a German song “To See You Oh Lord”.
  • The Bell Choir played a melody of two hymns - “Rejoice, You Pure in Heart” and “Give Thanks to the Lord”.
  • Rebecca Nowdesha, the assistant girls’ dean, played a violin solo - “What Never Part Again”.
  • Eric (2018 junior) played a guitar solo “This is My Father’s World”.
  • The Bell Choir next played the song “A Grand Celebration”.
  • To close the program, the orchestra played “We Shall Behold Him!”
  • Then Benny’s family played wind instruments “The Assurance Band”.

Rich Sutton thanked the students and staff.

Immediately following the vespers program, Dyaine Falkenhagen, one of the graduating seniors and the 2018 yearbook editor, put on a PowerPoint presentation titled “Senior Year in Review”.
