At the conclusion of the trip to the replica of Noah’s Ark January 22 to 25, the Laurelbrook church hosted an agape (communion) supper in the academy auditorium.
The evening had three parts. The congregation, including the students, ate bread with a variety of toppings and various types of fruit. Then the Laurelbrook Academy Orchestra and the Laurelbrook Academy choir sang several numbers. Finally, the group celebrated the Lord’s Supper by first washing each other’s feet and partaking of grape juice and bread.
Rich Sutton, Laurelbrook’s president, presided over the communion service. Following the footwashing, he read from 1 Corinthians and seniors Blake and Josia passed out the bread and grape juice. Seniors Sarah and Citlali covered and uncovered the emblems.
