2019 Laurelbrook Graduation

Laurelbrook Academy’s 2019 Graduation Weekend began with a consecration service at 8:00 Friday evening, May 24, in the academy auditorium (all meetings were in this area). The four seniors – Suriel Baleza, Itzel Huerta, Jissel Perez, and Ashley Perez – paid tribute to their parents.  Pastor Manuel Mendi Zabal from Adventist World Radio gave the consecration address titled “A Definite Aim”. After reacting to Pastor Daniel’s address and singing a consecration hymn, the seniors lit the juniors’ candles as they left the auditorium.

Sabbath School on Sabbath, May 25, began at 9:15.  This meeting highlighted the senior church-building trip to Mexico. The seniors also paid tribute to the Laurelbrook staff members who helped them reach this milestone in their lives. Rich Sutton, Laurelbrook’s president, directed the study of the Sabbath School lesson.

The Baccalaureate service began at 11:00.  During this service, Jeff Sutton gave the Baccalaureate Address.

At 7:30 p.m. the music groups put on a Sabbath Vespers program.

The final weekend service – Commencement – began at 10:30 in the auditorium.   The juniors and seniors marched in to a graduation march. During this service, the seniors received their high school diplomas and vocational certificates.

The 2019 class colors were navy blue and gray.  Their aim and motto were “To finish His work / with Christ as our Guide.”
