The Sabbath services on January 5, 2019 began with a song service led by Haydee and Mahary (junors) and Jissel (senior) accompanied by Leilani (junior) on the piano.  The opening song was “God Will Take Care of You”.

John Ellis welcomed everyone, had prayer, and read the scripture reading – Psalm 91:4 “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.”

Denisse (junior) read a mission story from Botswania about a man stopped for speeding by a police heliocopter. She then called for the Laurelbrook Missions Offering, which was collected by Ashur (sophomore) and Mark (junior) and which goes to support Laurelbrook mission trips.

Yzzynne (9th grader), Haydee, and Jissel sang for special music. Barbara Ellis had the theme talk on God’s protecting care, had the closing prayer, and announced the classes.  James Brenneman led the lesson study in the main sanctuary, and Rich Sutton had a student class “behind the glass” in the rear of the church sanctuary.

  2. Jesus is near when we need Him most.

  4. When we worry, we are really not trusting God.
