Sabbath services on December 16, 2017 began with a song service led by Mariangela and Elyjah (juniors), accompanied by Samantha (sophomore) on the piano. Singing during the service was also accompanied by two violinists and two people playing flutes. The opening song was “Tell Me the Story of Jesus”. Wendy Carr welcomed everyone.
Wendy Carr read the scripture reading – Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” She then had prayer.
She then had some reflections on Christ’s sacrifice by coming to earth:
Wendy Carr then announced the classes and had the closing prayer. The Laurelbrook Missions Offering was collected by Rodney Herra at the door as the congregation filed out. It goes to support Laurelbrook mission trips.
The congregation then became four Sabbath School classes, one taught by Clayton Brandt in the church sanctuary and one in the back of the sanctuary “behind the glass” taught by Rich Sutton and Pedro Arce, one in the CNA House taught by Ricardo Reid, and one in the nursing home taught by Elizabeth Castle.
